Nicole George – 1st Vice President
Nicole L. George is a dedicated professional who brings the best of herself to work every day. Currently a Budget Analyst for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Ms. George has worked with the organization for over thirteen years in a number of roles; however, currently manages and oversees a two operational budgets totaling $86M. She has a breadth of experience as a financial professional, having worked for institutions such as SunTrust Credit Card Company, Department of Justice Federal Credit Union, and Independence Federal Savings Bank, spanning 17 years. Ms. George previously lent her expertise as the Supervisory Committee Chair at Mt. Jezreel Baptist Credit Union in Maryland.
No stranger to volunteerism, Nicole George learned the value of giving back from her mother, an avid volunteer in her community. In her own right, Ms. George has brought her passion for sharing her time and talents to her professional, personal, and faith communities as a mentor, event planner, and team mom in her son’s basketball league. Ms. George’s volunteer service included serving as a Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Florida and Maryland, and currently as treasurer of her homeowner’s association board. Ms. George is the mother of a teenage son and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bethune-Cookman College (now University) where she was inducted as a member of Alpha Chi, National College Honor Society. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Strayer University. Ms. George is a proud Virgin Islander and currently resides in Maryland.
